The morning sunlight streams through the window, making a rectangle of golden light on the bed. Ordinarily, Alain likes it that way. He likes waking up to the sun.
This morning...
Eyes crack open. "Ow." Eyes squeeze shut in a wince.
The light hurts. So does the sound of his voice. Even without, his head is pounding.
Hangover. Oh, yay.
He sits up, slowly, rubbing his forehead. He has a pretty good idea that he looks like shit right now.
And that's when the memories start to flood back -- fuzzily -- and his eyes open in alarm, and then flinch shut again. "Fucking--"
He remembers coming to the party, and the early stages of mingling when he wasn't terribly drunk. And then some terrifyingly strong mixed things, and then it all gets rather fuzzy. Somewhere in there there's kissing someone. And Lilly on his lap. And a vague memory of Crowley sprinkling beer on him and saying something about a honeymoon, and then a discussion of... weddings in Hell? Or something.
He really, really hopes he didn't embarrass himself too much. And has a sinking feeling that he did.

Which is why, when he makes his way outside (bypassing the main bar, say thankya), he may be dressed and tidied up but he still looks kinda like shit.

"What up, sai? How're you feeling this morning?"

He's succinct.
He's also trying to sort out which of the muddled memories from last night connect to Lilly.

Lilly's memory is fuzzy too, but there are a few things she thinks she remembers fairly clearly.
"Want an aspirin, Mr. Lilly?"

He pinches the bridge of his nose.
Yeah, that's what he was afraid of.
After a minute, "There was... Crowley. And beer throwing."

"Yeah. We're totally married, Alain. By a demon. That's even better than Elvis, you ken?"
no subject
...Okay, that's partly because of the sunlight and the headache, but still.
no subject
"Relax, it could have been worse. I think you almost got married to a girl dressed as a sailor before I showed up."

He sits down in the shade, resting his forearms on his knees, squinting against the sun.
A bit plaintively, "I don't think it's binding?"
If he didn't have a headache already, he would now.

"I don't know," she says finally. "I guess we'll have to ask Crowley at the wedding. Which is in just a few hours now, so I totally need to get dressed. Oh, and find a date, probably."
She eyes Alain, and grins.
"Hey, as my possible demonic husband, aren't you kinda required to be my date if I need one?"
no subject
And then, a reluctant half-grin.
"If you promise not to introduce me as such."
no subject
"Fine. I will not introduce you as my possible demonic husband Alain. And I guess Mr. Lilly is out as well?"

"You're almost managing to take the fun out of getting married by a drunken demon at a bachelor party at the end of the universe, Alain. Almost."
She stands up and brushes herself off, smiling at him.
"One might think you were ashamed or something. Which is too bad, because I think you're doing a great job as my possible demonic husband."
Lilly smirks.
"You've definitely got the kissing part down, after all."
And with that, she skips off to the bar to get ready for the wedding.
