Maybe he'll go out to the main bar later. For right now, he likes the quiet.

Too bad someone just knocked on the door.

There's a note in Cuthbert's voice that makes him close the book.

Cuthbert opens the door and then leans against it, still holding on to the knob.

"Hey."

After a moment, dryly: "Not to alarm you or anything, but there've been events of the not so good kind, and I'm on boyfriend-fetching detail for Lilly."

Alain stands, brows drawing together, and moves towards the door.

"What's wrong?"

Cuthbert pauses, and takes a deep breath.

"Wash got hurt, Lilly and Raven found out somehow and went and got him and brought him here, Moiraine healed him, he should be okay, but Lilly could use some company and I still don't even know what's going on with the rest of the crew right now, except Lilly said Raven said they'll be okay."

Oh, SHINY, says Alain's face, a little bitterly. Milliways is just non-stop fun sometimes.

But Wash is healed, and the crew will be okay, and more questions can wait, for now. Until he sees if Lilly's in a state to answer them, for one.

"All right."

He's headed down the hallway, now. "Her room, or the bar?"
